ach of our window frames is equipped with a standard double glazing offering a thermal insulation coefficient (K) of 2.8W/m2. We use exclusively quality glazings selected from the St-Gobain and Sprimoglass ranges.

We propose you a wide selection of glazings suited for various applications: thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, safety (anti-break-in), decoration and solar control.

We can of course supply you with glazings combining several properties (thermal-acoustic-anti-break-in, for example). The possibilities are numerous and offer a solution for each project.

Besides comfort and an optimum energetic efficiency, safety is another issue your customers are of course much concerned about. This type of glazing plays a double protective role: it protects both the building (anti-break-in system) and its inhabitants (eliminating the risk of cuts in case of breakage). Safety glass actually refers to two types of different glazings: laminated and toughened.

Laminated glass is made of several panes of glass bonded together by one or several elastic films in polyvinyl butyral (PVB). Thanks to the extreme pressure and temperature applied during the manufacturing process, the PVB layers are indissociably bonded with the glass panes. This type of glazing is typically used as a reinforcement for windows, balustrades and tilted roofs (so as to avoid any risk of cuts, falling shards or defenestration in case of breakage). According to the thickness considered (i.e. the number of panes and of PVB films), laminated glass can offer an excellent anti-break-in protection. Bulletproof glazing is another application of laminated glass.

Laminated glass cracks easier than hardened glass, but is harder to pierce (given the presence of PVB films). it is available in various thicknesses and grades. When breaking, it cracks in a star-like pattern: all the shards remain together. Another difference is that contrary to toughened glass, laminated glass can still be sawn, cut or pierced upon manufacture.

Toughened glass never cracks and is almost unbreakable. If it does break, it is in myriads of small pieces, thus preventing any risk of cuts. This type of glass could break in case of a violent shock with a piece of concrete or metal (due to vibrations).
