ach of our window frames is equipped with a standard double glazing offering a thermal insulation coefficient (K) of 2.8W/m2. We use exclusively quality glazings selected from the St-Gobain and Sprimoglass ranges.

We propose you a wide selection of glazings suited for various applications: thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, safety (anti-break-in), decoration and solar control.

We can of course supply you with glazings combining several properties (thermal – acoustic – anti-break-in, for example). The possibilities are numerous and offer a solution for each project.

Thermal insulation | Acoustic insulation | Safety | Decoration | Solar Control

As its name suggests, solar control glass aims at drastically reducing the amount of heat produced by solar radiation while ensuring an optimum brightness in the premises. The reflective property of this glazing is obtained by fine metallic layers applied under vacuum conditions.

This type of glazing is increasingly used in facades, for curtain walls and plate glass windows of South-orientated offices, for example. It is also appreciated for its both discrete and aesthetic aspect: tainted-glass facades of all colors (grey, silver, green, blue, etc.) are thus becoming a common sight. A further benefit of this glazing is that it allows to do without costly and/or unsightly sun protection systems (blinds, etc.).

Vertical (facades) and horizontal (roofs) surfaces require the use of different sun control glazings. For roofing applications, glazings with a superior solar reflection and an inferior light transmission are preferred (to avoid a blinding light inside buildings). Of course, these glazings also allow – thanks to their remarkable U value – to keep the sun's heat outside in summer and to preserve the ambient heat inside in winter. On request, we can supply a sun control glazing combining thermal insulation, acoustic insulation and anti-break-in properties. Remember, all combinations are possible!

The following factors enable to compare accurately the various types of sun control glazings.
— Light transmission (TL): each type of glazing lets in a different percentage of light. It depends namely on the thickness and the color of the glass as well as the type of coating applied, if any.
— Light reflection: the light reflection capacity of a sun control glass varies according to its color. Also note that in the vicinity of airports, it is imperative to use low reflective glazings to avoid any disruption of radars.
— Direct energy transmission (DET): the percentage of thermal energy coming through a window pane into the building depends on the manufacturing techniques.
— Total energy transmission (TET): in order to know the total amount of heat penetrating the room, the thermal energy first absorbed by the glass and then radiating into the room has to be added to the direct energy transmission figure. The sum of both those values is the Total energy transmission, also called "solar factor" (ZTA).
